		<description>Whether or not patents are in these developing coutries, it may increase their cost of implementation if they are purchasing systems from developed countries where the patents are in place.  Many developing countries have fairly limited abilities to produce higher technology products, so they wind up purchasing a fair amount of high tech equipment from other countries that might have patents in place.  
That being said, I've worked with a number of companies working on green technology that probably wouldn't have done so without the possibility of protecting the technology that they came up with.</description>
